New Year Gift: XXIV Abandoned Photo "Papantla flyers".

Papantla flyers. 8 x 10 inches.

Here is. A new photo for a new year, a new year for continuing with the project.

I shot this photo in Tajín , Veracruz, a Totonaca archeological zone. The fly of the Papantla natives are one of the most amazing rituals in Mexico. So simple, so brave.

For this 2015, one should fly too. If you have found this photo, leave a message here please!

Happy New Year!

XXIII abandoned photo: A palm that was born twisted never grows straight.

A palm that was born twisted never grows straight.
8 x 10 inches; frame 11 x 14 inches.

Costa Rica again. In Spanish, a proverb says "A tree that was born twisted never grows straight". It means that if you have a bad habit, it would be difficult to leave it. But a proverb may mean many things I think. In this case, I think the palm is a rebel, it doesn´t follow rules. It follows his own way, a "twisted" way.

This photo is waiting for you! Have you seen the photo showing this twisted palm? If you found it, please leave a comment!

XXII abandoned photo: Crocodile Tears

Crocodile tears
8 x 10 inches; frame 11 x 14 inches

I saw all those crocodiles at a river in Costa Rica. I was on a bridge for seeing the crocodiles and even if I was far from the animals, I was afraid. I liked that they showed a chaotic formation but very quiet. Sometimes chaos is quiet, a quiet fake.

"Crocodile tears" is on the streets! Please, please, please, if you have found it, leave a comment here! Let me know what do you think about the finding!

Twenty-first abandoned photo: "Cut cactus"

Cut cactus
5 x 7 inches

Another cactus, another abandoned photo.

I took this photo while I was walking at a mountain. When I saw the cut branch of the cactus, I loved the morphology of the surface. It´s a kind of flower, it´s a kind of star. The damage transformed the anatomy of the cactus but it was still beautiful.

The "Cut cactus" is the twenty-first abandoned photo. And now it´s at a place where you can get it. If you find this photo, leave a comment here please!

New release! Twentieth abandoned photo!

Black Cactus
5 x 7 inches

I know, I know, I know...it has been a long time since I came here. But I´m back! I promise that I´ll take time to work in the blog. Despite I don´t know about my abandoned photos, I´ll continue with my project of photography for sharing my photos. I believe that I´ll get a feedback from people finding the abandoned photos. I did get nice words in the past and I think I´ll get new words if I´m a patient person. However even if I don´t get any news about my abandoned photos, I´ll still continue leaving photos on the street because the mystery of the wherabouts of the images is also part of the project.

Hence here you´re a new release: "Black cactus". I took this photo years ago when I was walking at a semidesert zone. And now the photo can be yours, you just have to find it! And if you do that, please leave a message here! I want to know about your feelings regarding the finding! This project can´t be complete without your help! Thus, if you have the "Black cactus" with you, leave a comment please!

Lost! The gestation of the lizard.

It's a new year! I've just got a job and I've moved from my rainy small lovely city to a dry small lovely city. I'll continue with my photographic project in the new place. I know I left the blog for months...that was terrible! But I'm here again. Ready for visiting new places and sharing my photos.

The first comment of the year is for saying I'm still waiting news about "The gestation of the lizard". I must say the photo was abandoned next to the sculpture "La lagartera". Actually, I'm spending some days in the city I left the photo months ago. So I wonder if there is someone there with my photo in a house of this city! So if you have the photo, leave a message please!

The gestation of the Lizard.
Status: lost.

Ninteenth Abandoned Photo

Printemps in Liège (Pont de Fragnée)
6 x 8 inches

This image has been selected for a photo exhibition on September, in Belgium. The photo has a partner (it will be in the exhibition too), it's a similar image showing the same sculpture in winter. That's an image with many white tones because the sculpture is covered by snow. But for this time, I prefer showing the "black" version"

The sculpture is on a bridge which I had to cross for going to my home when I was in my first year of doctoral school. I like the guy because he was impassive whatever happens. And when I was worried for something, I always said "Remember your friend on the bridge, he never gives up, he always holds up his heavy shell. Do like he does, Don't give up!". Sometimes I think I was crazy, I mean, a sculpture was my inspiration! But who cares, it did work! Well, this image represents one of the best moments I had with my friend the sculpture. And he's still there, he never gives up.

The nineteenth abandoned photo is on a street! If you find it, please leave a comment here! I want to know what do you think about the photo!
